Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Easy-Mornings offers a start to the weekend with relaxing and family-friendly activities live in Gloria Molina Grand Park this April. This free three-hour public program highlights arts and culture, educational and creative programs, and community health, offering Angelenos ways to experience joyful and creative opportunities to deepen relationships with family, community, parks and their playful selves as well as ways to support local small businesses. Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Easy Mornings takes place on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
From puppetry, storytelling, dance, music making, arts and crafts and live DJ entertainment with DJ Lawrence, Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Easy Mornings will explore all the ways everyone can express themselves. This year’s program includes a mini maker’s market featuring Los Angeles-based small businesses and nonprofits with activities to inspire children of all ages, adults, families and caregivers to think big. Gloria Molina Grand Park-goers will experience tactile, fun and creative activities in various artistic mediums. Gloria Molina Grand Park’s favorite food trucks and vendors will offer food and beverages for purchase; on-site picnicking is encouraged.
Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Easy Mornings is curated in partnership with Streetlet, an opportunity-matching and growth engine for small business owners and makers. Streetlet is powering the #shoplocal movement by connecting the best small retail and product businesses with amazing opportunities in their neighborhoods and online.

Con Todo Press is a local Latinx-owned publishing company that creates children’s books that celebrate Latinx leaders and culture to help bridge the gap between the Latinx community and the publishing industry. They will offer an arts and crafts activity making tacos out of paper, along with readings of their children’s books in English and Spanish. Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
Wren Amber Clothing is a family-owned couture children’s clothing line, inspired by vintage styles of the past and made from deadstock sustainable fabrics. They will host an arts and crafts activity of paper flower making. Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
Affirmation Darling is a South Asian women-owned brand that fosters a positive community and culture by inspiring creatives to achieve their aspirations through illustrated stationery and gifts built on powerful affirmations. They will offer an arts and crafts activity of choosing and decorating words that make us feel strong. Dates: April 16, 23, and 30
Located in Leimert Park, Ride on! Bike Shop Co-Op is a Black-owned, community-based business that serves all types of cyclists in Los Angeles. They will provide a brief introduction to bike safety with a bike safety rodeo and bike/scooter course Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
The dA Center for the Arts in Pomona is a diverse, multidisciplinary, nonprofit organization that provides opportunities to experience, appreciate and support arts through inclusive and healthy community activities. They will offer interactive musical activities to provide opportunities for participants to experience and appreciate music. Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
Lil in Los Angeles is a family-owned business that makes kids streetwear inspired by their daughter. They will offer a dance lesson every Saturday afternoon. Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
East West Players is the nation’s premier Asian American theater and is committed to raising the visibility of the Asian American experience by presenting inventive world-class theatrical productions, developing artists of color and providing impactful youth education programs. They will offer an interactive costume corner as well as a Polynesian dance lesson.

Stella and the Sea Dragon by Jim and Stella Harris
Jim and Stella Harris are a father/daughter writing team who wrote the first-ever children’s book set at the Santa Monica Pier. They inspire kids to write and tell their own stories. The pair will host an interactive reading of their books with Bob Baker Marionette Theater.

Shop Mili Mili is a woman-owned business that provides sustainable and colorful gender-neutral sleep sacks and nursery goods. They will offer a superhero mask making arts and crafts activity. Dates: April 23
The Chinese American Museum, located in El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, researches, preserves and shares the history, rich cultural legacy and continued contributions of Chinese Americans. CAM will host a lantern-making workshop that helps children and families understand the meaning of a lantern and learn about Chinese culture. Lanterns are very symbolic in the Chinese culture as they represent a “lighting of the way,” literally and metaphorically. CAM will provide lessons on making two different styles of paper lanterns during this workshop. Date: April 30
Pop-up Art Installation by Amplifier Art
Amplifier Art’s pop-up art installation, coloring booth and free art giveaway has increased public awareness about how to prevent human-caused wildfires for over 75 years. They offer a multimedia activity to learn the legacy of Smokey Bear and simple fire safety tips to protect our wilderness. Date: April 23
NEA Big Read Program in Los Angeles
The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) promotes arts and culture to ignite a powerful dialogue, engage Los Angeles’s residents and visitors, and ensure Los Angeles’s varied cultures are recognized, acknowledged and experienced. The NEA Big Read Program will offer the opportunity for Angelenos to learn about cartoons and storytelling as well visit their comic book corner booth. Dates: April 16, 23 and 30
MOAH Lancaster Museum of Art and History
Lancaster Museum of Art and History has been the cultural hub of Antelope Valley for the last 150 years, aiming to strengthen awareness and accessibility of art, history and culture through dynamic exhibitions, innovative educational programs, creative community engagement and a vibrant collection that celebrates the richness of the region.
