Since 2016, Natural Urban Forests has been creating resilient native forests using The Miyawaki Method 🌿, restoring ecological balance one seed at a time.

We are honored to welcome @folarorg to the Miyawaki Forest Planting Day! For decades, FoLAR has built the capacity of future leaders to advocate for nature, climate, and equity along the LA River.

Now, they are bringing that mission to Block 2.
Join their hands-on workshop to create your own native seedballs—a powerful mix of native seeds, clay, soil, and water designed to jumpstart biodiversity. Take them home to your garden or yard and help extend the ecosystem right where you live.

✨ Visit the FoLAR Station: 🌱 Create: Mix your own seedballs to attract native birds and insects. 📸 Snap: Take a photo at the Bird Wing Wall. 🎁 Receive: Pick up free giveaways and learn about river restoration.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Come take a piece of the forest home with you.

How can I showcase my art or perform?

Gloria Molina Grand Park partners with community organizations and members year-round. Contact the Program Team via the contact form above to share your portfolio or website and inquire about future opportunities.

How can I produce my own event at Gloria Molina Grand Park?

The park is open to everyone. Gloria Molina Grand Park plans free programming for the public year-round in partnership with community organizations, artists, and educators. Individuals, companies and organizations are welcome to rent space for public or private events at the park. If you’d like to rent a space to produce your own events, please visit the rental information page at grandparkla.org/rentals.

Are there lunch trucks at the park?

Gloria Molina Grand Park is resuming the Lunch a la Park Food Trucks program, to serve local employees and park guests. For the schedule, please check our event calendar. Gloria Molina Grand Park, along with our vendor partners, are practicing the following safety protocols:

  • All staff must wear appropriate PPE at all times in the park – masks and gloves
  • Any staff exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 must stay home
  • No physical hand-out menus are allowed
  • All utensils must be in pre-wrapped packages to minimize contact
  • Condiments must be in individual, single-serving packages
  • Cash-free payment is strongly recommended and encouraged. Vendor partners are strongly encouraged to make best efforts to minimize contact in ordering and payment, shifting to mobile or pre-ordering if possible.
  • If a card is used, it must be disinfected after handling
  • Mobile, contactless, or pre-orders is the preferred method
  • Sneeze barrier between customers and staff
  • Disinfectant wipes/sanitize must be provided at touchpoints (drink counter, utensil dispenser, etc)

All food truck patrons and guests, please practice safety protocols as well:

  • Wear a mask
  • Wash your hands
  • Practice social distancing of at least 6 feet apart

Gloria Molina Grand Park follows all ADA standards for accessibility. Visitors can call 213-972-8080 for more information.

Is Gloria Molina Grand Park a safe and secure environment for me and my family?

Security for the park is provided 24-hours-a-day. In addition, security cameras, monitored daily, are located throughout the park to ensure the safety of all park patrons.
