The night of offering evokes memories of the past and passed, while Angelenos connect with traditions across borders and states. Noche de Ofrenda opens the week-long exhibition of Altars + Art in Grand Park.
Noche de Ofrenda is produced in partnership with Self Help Graphics & Art, and will feature traditional dance and prayer led by the local indigenous community, as well as Los Angeles-based poets and musicians. Master altar maker Ofelia Esparza will unveil a community altar, where offerings can be placed by all.
