Where L.A Shows Up
This is the energy we create together in our shared backyard.
We’re gathering at the park to turn our individual stories into one massive movement. Catch the rhythms on two stages, make a zine with your neighbors, add your voice to the AR sky, and stay for the 700-drone show that proves what 35,000 of us look like when we move as one.
The Backyard Stage
Anthony Valadez
LA DJ, broadcaster, and recording artist Anthony Valadez is hosting the Backyard Stage and curating the drone show soundtrack. A longtime voice of the city, he previously co-hosted KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic for 15 years.
Tatiana Tate
Experience the future of live music with Tatiana Tate, a powerhouse LA trumpeter and composer blending jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop into a fierce, modern sound. She’s lent her incredible talents to Doechii’s Tiny Desk performance and shared stages with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Macklemore.
L.A. Tropifunk Collective
Rooted right here in the multicultural DNA of Los Angeles, L.A. Tropifunk brings together Afro-Caribbean rhythms, West African grooves, and classic funk. They’ve shared their music on major stages from the Hollywood Bowl all the way to Colombia and Brazil, but their sound is pure LA. Bring your comfortable shoes, because their rhythms are bound to get this Summer Block Party moving.
The Front Yard Stage
Pangea Sound
Pangea Sound is a DJ and production collective fusing sounds from the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America, and everywhere in between. Started in 2019 by Falcons and SuperNova, what began as a passion for bringing music cultures together has grown into a nationwide event series built on one idea: music has no borders. This is the global sound.
From many voices, One Block Party.
All across the park, explore the history that brought us here, make something with your hands, add your voice to something larger than yourself, and connect with the community resources that keep us moving forward.
Your Voice In The Sky
Share your story and watch it take flight. Murmurations by EyeJack and For Freedoms transforms your voice into part of a living AR installation at City Hall, a symbolic virtual protest where individual stories join thousands of others in a coordinated wave of collective expression. Add your voice. Become the ripple.
Food Truck Row & Snack Alley
Satisfy those hunger cravings with a delicious selection of food trucks and snacks from some of LA’s best and local vendors.
