Every altar holds a lifetime of love, memory, and Every altar holds a lifetime of love, memory, and community story. 🌼✨

Across the lawn at Gloria Molina Grand Park, each ofrenda stands as an open invitation to pause, remember, and celebrate the lives that shaped who we are. Every altar is covered in personal history—handwritten notes, family pictures, and woven fabrics that bring everyone’s memories together on the lawn.

The altars remain on public view daily through Monday, November 2 (8:00 AM – 9:00 PM).

Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Noche de los Muertos closing celebration is this Sunday, November 1, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM!

Join us for one last night of music, dancing, and community joy under the downtown sky.

Swipe through the carousel to explore the altars and plan your visit! Get here at 3:00 PM to catch the opening set, grab a spot on the lawn, and get your piece pressed live at the Community Print Lab with @bellacanvas .

Send this to the group chat and meet us on the lawn. Bring your people, your memories, and your dancing shoes.
There’s still time to RSVP🧡🕯️

Note: These photos were captured in the sunshine! Our altars are safely sheltered under canopies today while the rain passes, so you can still stop by and take them in.

@storytelling_in_the_park meets here on the fourth Sunday of every month to gather, share stories, connect, and learn about each other. It was born out of the Altadena fires, when our LA community needed support. Braids not raids. ✊🏽🎀 If you grew up with a paren Braids not raids. ✊🏽🎀

If you grew up with a parent, tía, big sister, or elder sitting you down to braid your hair, you already know the feeling. The gentle pull, the steady rhythm of working hands, the stories shared, and the deep care woven into every strand.

At Gloria Molina Grand Park, @ponteyourmonos is bringing that ritual to the lawn. While their ribbon styles carry generations of Indigenous tradition, the circle itself belongs to everyone who knows what it means to carry their roots with pride.

You pull up a chair, talk with neighbors about family and the people you miss, and leave wearing a piece of living connection.

Come grab a seat in the circle, share a story, and get your hair braided. 🌼✨
