Rules & Regulations

Grand Park LA is your 843-acre backyard, your place to play, relax, and breathe a little easier.

You are welcome to

  • Enjoy the park during park hours (5:30 am to 10:00 pm daily)
  • Play in the splash pad (temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 precautions)
  • Spread blankets on the grass and have a picnic (temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 precautions)
  • Walk your dog on a leash

These things are prohibited in the park…

  • Alcohol. Grand Park may have events that include alcohol, and only alcohol within the bar area is authorized. Open beverages of any kind are not permitted into the bar area.
  • Narcotics or illegal drugs
  • Bathing in pools or fountain or restrooms
  • Damage to plants or property
  • Explosives
  • Fires
  • Overnight lodging
  • Riding bicycles (please walk them)
  • Skateboarding
  • Tents
  • Unauthorized photo or video shoots
  • Unauthorized vending
  • Drones
  • Camping
  • Entering upper fountain pools
  • Firecrackers
  • Lawn Umbrellas
  • Parking of any motor vehicles, bicycles, or scooters outside of designated areas
  • Rideshare scooters
  • Smoking (including vapes)
  • Tripods
  • Unauthorized Professional grade photo and video equipment, including but not limited to: tripods, drones, microphones, cameras, lights, reflectors, etc.
  • Unleashed animals
  • Drone Operation
  • Cooking
  • Feeding animals
  • Firearms
  • Littering (including pet waste)
  • Public intoxication
  • Rollerblading
  • Staking
  • Unauthorized driving or parking
  • Unauthorized solicitation
  • Weapons

This list is subject to change, and subject to the discretion of Grand Park and/or The Music Center security. Special events may have additional prohibited items.

  • These additional things are prohibited in the park during special events, including the 4th of July Block Party and N.Y.E.L.A. events…

  • Bicycles (valet parking for bicycles will be available)

  • Identity-covering costumes
  • Sealed or open beverage bottles with liquid including water (fountains and water for purchase will be available)
  • Printed signage (larger than 8.5 inches x 11 inches)
  • Ride share scooters
  • Skateboarding
  • Sparklers
  • Umbrellas
  • Amplified noise
  • Chairs
  • Fire matches
  • Generators
  • Lighters
  • Outside solicitation
  • Props
  • Smoking (including vapes)

  • Staking objects to ground
  • Bags and backpacks measuring larger than standard backpack size (16.75 inches x 13 inches x 8.5 inches)
