We’re still a fan of the rain. Let’s have fun under the rain while we enjoy this moment that happens only once a year, only in L.A.
This Saturday, December 31st at 8 pm, we will lead up to an epic countdown to 2023 with Grand Park’s signature light show and 3D video projection on City Hall. 🎆 It’s free, family-friendly, and alcohol-free event for all-ages – including pets (leashed).
This is a rain or shine event! We don’t want you thinking you won’t have fun EVEN if there is rain. We encourage all our guests to watch the weather reports, and, if necessary come prepared for inclement weather, bringing the appropriate rain gear to stay warm and dry while enjoying all of the event’s amenities.
Please note that umbrellas are prohibited in the park, and we recommend checking the Grand Park website for more info on a list of the prohibited items.

No Umbrellas – Unfortunately umbrellas block the view of the show, but please bring ponchos, blankets, sweaters, or whatever you need to stay comfy and dry.

No Alcohol – But we’ll have plenty of other non-alcoholic beverages from our lovely food vendors to keep you warm all night long!

Parking – Parking is available at The Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall, but due to the high volume of attendees, please consider taking public transportation to the event.

Transportation – We highly encourage you to take the Metro B (Red) and Metro D (Purple) Lines to the park before 8PM (the Metro Portal will be closed during the event), as well as Ubers/Lyfts and bikes!

Entrances – Attendees may access Grand Park’s grounds through four specially-marked gates opening at 8PM: Olive & 1st St. / Hill & Temple St. / Main & 1st St. / Broadway & 1st St.

Accessibility – There will be an ADA platform located on the left hand side of the Countdown Stage on Block 4 , and ASL interpretation will be available during performances.

Allowed Items – Snacks / Food / Sealed juice boxes / Small bags / Smiling Faces / Strollers / Empty reusable non-glass water containers
