LUNCHTIME! Food Trucks @ Grand Park
Oct 31 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Part of Grand Park’s noontime ¡LUNCHTIME! programs, take a break with rotating food trucks in the park.

Every TUES, WED and THURS from 11am-2pm, come into the sunshine and enjoy everyone’s favorite time of the workday – the mighty lunch. Trucks will be parked on Olive Court (between Grand and Hill) and the Marketplace (between Spring and Broadway in front of City Hall) with easy access for jurors, local employees, and all park users.

JURORS: Enjoy 10% off during your lunch break, simply show your juror badge. Discount good for both locations – Grand Park’s Marketplace and Olive Court.

DOWNTOWN DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS: ALTARS + ART @ Grand Park
Nov 1 @ 5:30 am – 10:00 pm

Spanning four city blocks, GRAND PARK’S DOWNTOWN DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS ALTARS + ART EXHIBITION connects, tells, and reshapes the stories and traditions of Angeleno life.

BETWEEN GRAND AVE + HILL ST: Altars created by local organizations, artists, and individuals take both traditional and contemporary approaches in remembering the past and passed. A COMMUNITY ALTAR created by Mujeres de Maiz and Ni Santas Collective invites all Angelenos to bring small ofrendas, or offerings, in honor of their own personal memories.  Altars curated by Self Help Graphics & Art.

BETWEEN HILL ST + N BROADWAY: Floral- and color-themed altar-ofrendas pay homage to traditional Oaxacan civic plaza installations, contemporary expressions of the iconic double-headed serpent surround park guests, and a Temple Altar pays homage to the feathered serpent god Quetzalcóatl. Created by Lore Productions.

LUNCHTIME TOURS:  A rotation of Downtown Dia de los Muertos artists (listed below) will provide insight into their work and process in daily Lore Productions-led tours. Tours occur at 12:00 noon daily from MON OCT 30 thru SAT NOV 4 and last about 30 minutes. Meet at Hill St. entrance of Grand Park (adjacent to Metro station).
On Nov 4, additional tours will be held at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm as part of Grand Avenue Arts: All Access, and those will meet at the park entrance on Grand Ave.

LUNCHTIME! Yoga reTREAT + Food Trucks @ Grand Park
Nov 1 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Part of Grand Park’s noontime ¡LUNCHTIME! programs, take a break with food trucks or relax, rejuvenate and re-energize with free yoga sessions.

YOGA reTREAT (12:15pm – 1pm) sessions occur every WED + FRI thru May 31. Pop in and out, dress comfortably and be ready to retreat into Grand Park bliss. In the event of rain, yoga will be cancelled. Yaza Nadïs leads yoga sessions on the Community Terrace located between Broadway and Hill St.

FINAL YOGA reTREAT SESSION: As summer approaches, LUNCHTIME! Yoga reTREAT gives way to early evening BOOTCAMP sessions. The final yoga session is WED MAY 31. GRAND PARK’S BOOTCAMP begins on the Event Lawn (between Spring St. and N Broadway) on TUES JUN 6 and continues every TUES through SEPT 26. Have fun!

FOOD TRUCKS (11am – 2pm) are stationed every TUES-THURS in Olive Court (near Starbucks) and the Marketplace (near City Hall).
